TraceCor is Ancor’s inventory and asset traceability platform. It combines RFID, software, data, and enterprise integrations to give customers real time visibility, instant inventory auditing, critical component traceability, loss prevention, inventory accuracy, and operational control. The platform is already expanding through enterprise customer use cases, and this role is critical to taking TraceCor into new customers, sites, and industries.
You will own technical discovery and technical due diligence before commercial commitment. You will determine whether TraceCor can solve the customer problem, what technology is required, how the solution should be architected, what infrastructure is needed, what risks exist, and what must be validated before deployment.
That means selecting the right RFID technology, tags, inlays, readers, antennas, portals, handhelds, printers, gateways, sensors, infrastructure, connectivity, integration approach, and site architecture. It also means knowing when RFID is not the right answer and when another technology such as BLE, barcode, RTLS, vision, or a hybrid architecture should be considered.
You will prove that the solution works under real operating conditions, define the architecture and technical requirements, and remain accountable for the technical integrity of the solution through deployment and production launch.
This seat requires someone who has implemented RFID systems in plants, warehouses, distribution centers, logistics environments, or other complex operations. You need to understand RF behavior, hardware, software, networking, integrations, enterprise systems, and the realities of deploying technology around metal, liquids, dense pallets, hidden inventory, moving product, loading docks, and imperfect operating environments.
You are not here to recommend technology from a conference room. You are here to make the solution work.

- Design the complete ecosystem across tags, readers, antennas, portals, handhelds, printers, gateways, networks, software, data, and enterprise integrations
RFID Hardware and Site Engineering
- Lead hardware selection including RFID labels and inlays, fixed readers, handheld readers, antennas, portals, printers, sensors, gateways, and supporting infrastructure

- Conduct site surveys, read zone analysis, RF testing, proof of concepts, hardware validation, and performance testing
- Design solutions for challenging environments including metal, liquids, stacked product, hidden inventory, dense pallets, warehouses, production areas, staging areas, and loading docks
- Own vendor and hardware evaluation, qualification, testing, and standardization across the TraceCor ecosystem
- Maintain approved hardware, tag, reader, antenna, and infrastructure standards for repeatable deployments
- Understand regional RFID frequency requirements, regulatory constraints, certification requirements, and hardware compatibility for deployments across different markets
- Build and maintain a TraceCor test environment for validating tags, readers, antennas, configurations, hardware, and customer use cases before field deployment
Technical Discovery and Customer Solutioning
- Lead technical discovery with customers and identify what must be true for the solution to succeed
- Walk customer operations, map material and information flow, identify failure points, understand current state processes, and define the future state
- Identify operational pain points including inventory inaccuracies, loss prevention gaps, wrong picking, receiving issues, shipment errors, missing material, audit limitations, and traceability gaps
- Define the technical scope of work and separate standard TraceCor functionality, configurable functionality, and customer specific engineering before quoting
- Partner with the Head of TraceCor during customer pursuits, technical presentations, solution reviews, demonstrations, and proposal development
- Develop bills of material, technical assumptions, implementation requirements, hardware quantities, installation requirements, technical effort estimates, and architecture inputs needed for accurate pricing and quoting
- Challenge customer assumptions and internal recommendations when the proposed solution is technically weak, unnecessarily expensive, overly complex, or unlikely to scale
Software, Data, and Enterprise Integration
- Define how TraceCor connects to customer systems including ERP, SAP, WMS, MES, APIs, databases, middleware, and other enterprise platforms
- Define integration architecture, system of record, data ownership, event triggers, master data requirements, synchronization logic, exception handling, and failure recovery
- Translate field requirements into clear technical requirements for TraceCor developers
- Work directly with senior developers to define interfaces, APIs, data flows, event logic, middleware requirements, device interactions, and system behavior
- Define network, connectivity, firewall, edge computing, device management, authentication, and infrastructure requirements for customer deployments
- Partner with customer IT and security teams to satisfy enterprise cybersecurity, data access, network, device, and system integration requirements
- Design solutions that remain operational and recoverable when connectivity, readers, hardware, APIs, upstream systems, or infrastructure fail
- Protect TraceCor as a scalable platform by distinguishing reusable product capabilities from customer specific engineering
- Identify customer requirements that should become reusable TraceCor product capabilities
Validation, Deployment, and Scale
- Own technical proof of concept criteria and validate solutions before full deployment
- Define measurable technical acceptance criteria including read accuracy, coverage, latency, reliability, throughput, and system performance
- Support testing, commissioning, installation, troubleshooting, performance tuning, pilot execution, and production launch
- Own root cause analysis for complex technical failures during pilots and production deployments
- Remain the technical authority through deployment and go live, not just during solution design
- Establish repeatable architecture standards, hardware standards, reference designs, testing protocols, and deployment playbooks
- Capture lessons learned from each deployment and convert them into reusable TraceCor standards, technical improvements, and product recommendations
- Continuously evaluate RFID, RAIN RFID, RTLS, IoT, sensing, vision, edge computing, and adjacent technologies that can strengthen the TraceCor ecosystem
